Hide AdRovers had seen a number of bids knocked back for the 22-year-old over the summer but are set to get their man just days before the close of the transfer window, with Rhodes understood to have agreed a four-year deal at the Lancashire club.
The in-demand striker bagged 40 goals in 46 appearances in all competitions last season and his departure will be a blow to Huddersfield boss Simon Grayson, especially with just a matter of days to find a replacement.
Fulham and West Ham United had also been linked with his services but Rhodes looks set to remain in the Championship, for this season at least, with Town’s rivals rather than move to the Premier League.
