Austin to leave as Leeds United issue retained list
Leeds United have confirmed that four senior professionals, including former captain Rodolph Austin, are being allowed to leave the club having not been offered contract extensions.

Austin along with left-back/ winger Aidan White, midfielder Michael Tonge and goalkeeper Stuart Taylor are not on the retained list sent by United to the Football League.
Also leaving are reserve goalkeeper Alex Cairns and defender or midfielder Zac Thompson
New deals have been offered to eight young professionals and two scholars. These include Kalvin Phillips and Lewis Walters who featured in first team squads towards the end of the season just finished.
But it is the decision not to offer a contract to powerful midfielder Austin that will be controversial for fans after he had another decent season and head coach Neil Redfearn expressed a wish for him to stay.
