Leeds United’s bank account unfrozen
The case was initially adjourned by the High Court on June 10, giving United until today to pay the £958,000 it deemed the club owed to Sport Capital, who loaned the club money during their prospected takeover in January.
The payment was made in time and the court dismissal now means that the club can finally pay their players’ wages, after several months of deferrals.

Hide AdMassimo Cellino, who took control of the club in April, had previously offered to pay squad members through his personal bank account, although this could not be approved due to FA rulings, which state that wages must be paid through a club’s bank account and not a personal one.
