Ossett Albion make triple signing

Matt Dempsey has switched from Farsley Celtic and the former Bradford Park Avenue player can operate both in defence and midfield.

Midfielder Eddy Birch returns to the club for his second spell after signing from Bridlington Town.

The ex-Harrogate Town man put pen to paper following discussions with Albion manager Richard Tracey this week.

Target man Danny South had a brief spell at Albion last season and returns from local rivals Frickley Athletic.

Tracey said: “These are quality signings and hopefully show our intent this season.

“We are looking to build on last year and we have definitely strengthened the squad.

“I may bring one or two more in but we are only looking at players who can better our starting eleven.”

The new faces will feature in Albion’s pre-season friendly against Glasshoughton Welfare tomorrow night (Tuesday).
