PICTURE FOCUS: Ossett United open their season with FA Cup tie win

Ossett United made a winning start to their new season when they beat North West Counties Division One South side New Mills 2-0 in an FA Cup extra preliminary round tie and photographer Scott Merrylees was there to capture the action.

Here are Scott's pictures from a game in which Ossett fielded a new look forward line led by Ollie Fearon and supported by Basile Zottos, Joe Stacey and Junayd Cassius-Gill.

Zottos and Stacey scored the goals that clinched a 2-0 success.

Ossett now host Midland Premier side Whitchurch Alport on August 20 in the preliminary round. This Saturday they open their NPL East campaign away at Carlton Town and are at home to Stockton on Tuesday.
