The Millers will be making a quick return to Elland Road following the league encounter last month, where Redfearn guided his side to victory over his former employers.

Whilst conceding his side have been handed a tough draw, the Millers boss admitted it is a game he is relishing, as he looks to lead the Millers through a busy December schedule.

“Ideally for the FA Cup you want a home draw, but it is a great tie for us against one of the biggest clubs in the country,” Redfearn told www.themillers.co.uk

“It is a good draw for us, it will create some publicity but we are fully focused on the games we have before the cup tie. We have some really big games coming up before the third round, but when it does come round it is a game that we can look forward to and be confident about.”

Whilst Redfearn has his attention firmly on a host of important league games, he admitted a run in the FA Cup would be welcome as a potential boost to results in The Championship.

“If you can have a good cup run it can sometimes help your league form as well,” he adds.

“I had something similar when I was a player with Barnsley when we were in the Premier League. We got through to the quarter-finals of the cup, whilst we were scrapping to stay in the division, and it helped our league form.”
