Markovc (nee Neale), was among the athletes who registered record-breaking runs in the latest stop on the World Athletics World Indoor Tour, when she finished seventh in the 2-mile race with a new British record of 9:30.69.

En route the 25-year-old also recorded a new 3,000m club record of 8:54.11, beating her previous record from 2019 and also clocking a time within the qualifying standard for next month’s European Indoor Championships.
