A young Max Litchfield was featured in the Express after swimming three personal best times in the British Championships selection trials. The headline said he had Rio in his sights for 2016 and was to prove accurate for the Badsworth swimmer.

It was world number one against world champion as Pontefract's James Willstrop and Sheffield's Nick Matthew met in another final 10 years ago with Matthew winning the Canary Wharf Classic.
7. Top of the table
Wayne Hardy played his part as Lock Lane beat Stanley Rangers 32-22 to go to the top of Division One of the National Conference League.
8. Pontefract's pointer
James Hicks was man of the match on his return to the Pontefract Collieries starting line-up as they drew 1-1 with Rossington Town in the NCE Division One to move up to fourth place. It could have been better but Liam Ormsby had a penalty saved.
