Featherstone Flyers under 14s are saved – and celebrate with a new kit
Just three months ago the future of the Featherstone Flyers under 14s team was hanging in the balance, with the team on the brink of folding due to a lack of players.
But fast forward to today and what a difference a summer can make!
Through plenty of social media posts, word of mouth and the fantastic support of the local community, the team has been saved and is now preparing for the upcoming season. Not only that, they have also welcomed new sponsors on board.
Finding sponsorship can be difficult, especially during challenging economic times, but CJ Bulk Transport stepped up and provided fantastic support to the team.
Thanks to their generosity, the U14s have been able to purchase a brand new kit for the upcoming season.
CJ Bulk Transport is a family-run business specialising in the haulage of grain and aggregates across the UK.
Craig and Emma Johnson, from CJ Bulk Transport, said: “It’s great to see the team in the new kit and we’re pleased to help them out with the purchase.
"The kit looks great and we wish them all the best for the forthcoming season.”
The Flyers have sent out a massive thank you to Craig, Emma and everyone at CJ Bulk Transport for supporting grassroots sport and helping their young players continue doing what they love.
The Featherstone Flyers have numerous teams ranging from under 6s through to open age, with boys’, girls’ and mixed teams. If you or your child is interested in joining the Flyers, they would love to hear from you.
