“All three are successful individuals that bring a new dimension to the board along with business acumen, advice and a commitment to Castleford Tigers.

“They are each highly respected members of the business community, have their own unique perspective and have supported the club over a number of years in various ways from differing levels of sponsorship of the senior and junior sides to being on the terraces both home and away.

“I have said before that one of the key aspects in making this club successful on and off the field is the restructuring of the board of directors. These three and Steve Vause, who joined the board in April, share our passion for the club and the vision of where we want to be.

“I believe we need one more key player to join the board and I’m hopeful of being in a position to announce that next week.”

John Duff said: “I am delighted to be able to accept the invitation to join the board of directors at Castleford Tigers.

“Steve Gill and the board’s vision of where they want the club to be is something that I share and I am determined to help the club achieve that vision.

“Mend-a-Hose has been a long term sponsor of Castleford Tigers, which is the heartbeat of the community in which our business has grown over the years, and our association with the club is certainly a reason for that success. I’m excited to have the opportunity to help the club be successful too.”

Terry Cheesbrough said: “I feel very privileged to join the board of directors of Castleford Tigers – a team I have a huge passion for.

“I have supported Castleford all my life as a fan where I attend home and away fixtures, as a sponsor of the senior and junior sides and as shareholder for a number of years.

“I am my own person and I believe that Castleford Tigers should improve and it’s an honour to be able to contribute to the running of the club and help us move in the right direction. I’m looking forward to making a positive contribution to the club’s success.”

Dion Lowe said: “I was invited onto the board of directors by Steve Gill and it is a position that I wholeheartedly accepted.

“This club has so much opportunity for growth and I will help the board and the staff at the club in any way that I can in order for us realise our goals.
