Wildcats Wildcats: Volunteers sought to help clear snow from pitch ahead of Leeds Rhinos game
Wakefield Trinity Wildcats are calling on fans to help clear snow from the Rapid Solicitors Stadium pitch ahead of Sunday’s Super League game against Leeds Rhinos.
The club is looking for around 100 volunteers to help shovel snow from the pitch to ensure tomorrow’s West Yorkshire derby goes ahead.
The clear-up mission started at 10am and more volunteers are being encouraged to go down with a shovel to help clear the pitch after heavy snow fell across the city overnight.
The match was scheduled to take place on Friday night but had been postponed until Sunday due to the snowfall on Thursday and Friday.
