Cineworld Unlimited : This is how much cinema memberships will cost in Wakefield and Castleford after new price groups introduced
Cineworld cinemas in Wakefield and Castleford are expected to reopen next week, with new membership fees for Cineworld Unlimited members.
Cineworld cinemas across the country will be allowed to reopen from Monday, May 17, following an expected announcement from Boris Johnson later today.
But for film fans in Wakefield and Castleford, there will be some changes to membership fees, after cinema chain Cineworld confirmed a change in their membership fees.
Cineworld have introduced a new tiered membership system for Unlimited members, with different membership fees and options for cinemas in different areas of the country.
In a statement on its website, Cineworld said: "We have made changes to our Unlimited Membership for new and existing members. Here's what you need to know:
"There are different prices based on four Groups, each Group including a number of Cineworld Cinemas.
"The price of your Unlimited Membership will depend on which Group your local Cineworld falls into.
"You can use your Unlimited card at all cinemas that fall into the same Group as your local Cineworld.
"All existing and new members have the option to upgrade to a higher Group in order to use their Unlimited card at more cinemas.
"All other benefits remain the same."
Under the new scheme, cinemas in Wakefield and Castleford are classed as Group 2 cinemas.
This means that membership costs £15.99 a month, or a one-off annual payment of £191.88.
For this cost, members can used their Unlimited card at all cinemas in Group 2 and Group 1, which includes those in Leeds, York, Hull and Bradford.
Alternatively, they can choose to upgrade to Group 3, which grants access to all UK cinemas except Leicester Square, for £18.40 a month, or Group 4, which covers all UK cinemas including Leicester Square, for £20.90 a month.
