Internet Raised was formed by Wakefield’s Oliver Pinder, 20, and Vanessa Maria, 26, from Manchester.

Their debut single, Better, will be released on January 8. The pair have collaborated for four years, and wrote Better over Zoom during the first wave of the coronavirus pandemic.

Their original demo was taken up by James Kenosha, a producer known for works with Birdy and Rhodes.

“Better is a reflection on our past with a strong focus on developing to be ready for the future.

"It draws on a lot of the difficult things we have experienced in our past but is about moving on and learning to be your true self,” said the duo, whose debut hometown show sold out within a matter of hours.
