The top four acts will perform at one of the Wild Live evenings of concerts to be held at Yorkshire Wildlife Park in August – the full line up will be announced in the next few months.
The winners will each first get to write, record, produce, and release a song with producers at Sheffield's world famous Steelworks Studio, which has turned out global hits for the likes of The Spice Girls, Take That and Bryan Adams.
Their song will be released with a debut performance during their Wild Live appearance.
Auditions will be held from mid-February and are open to all singers from ten-years-old to 55-plus.
Other Yorkshire’s Greatest Talent prizes are to be announced along with a star judging panel which is being assembled for the live heats and semi-finals to take place at the park’s new Evolution immersive dining venue.
Auditions will be held February 15 to 18, with live heats over four weekends in March and semi-finals on May 12 and 13.
The Grand Final is at the park’s Tsavo Safari Lodge on Saturday, June 3.
John Minion CEO , of YWP, at Branton, near Doncaster, said: “This is an amazing opportunity for local singers to show what they are made of and take the next step on the road to stardom.
“We know that Yorkshire is full of talent and can’t wait to welcome the entrants to the competition.“It is open to anyone and any style of singer. Just enter and show us what you can do and grab a place on the main stage for Wild Live, which is an incredible opportunity.
“We are excited to be staging the event and are looking forward to giving the talented entrants their shot at stardom.
“So many of today’s high-profile performers began their journey in talent contests so the next star could be out there in Yorkshire just waiting for this moment.“It’s going to be lots of fun and I’m sure we’ll unearth a few diamonds along the way.”
