Disney On Ice: Meet Cinderella’s Prince Charming - real fairytale love story skating into Arena

Cinders star Antonia Mitchell and her prince Bob Goodwin today told how they fell in love on the ice.

And like the rags to riches story Antonia admits she helps with backstage chores before she goes to the ball every night to skate with her real life prince.

The ice dance stars - at Utilita Arena Sheffield for nine shows from Wednesday to Sunday, December 14 to 18, 2022 - say they are living the dream.

Cinderella skater Antonia, aged 30, from San Francisco, USA, and Prince Charming skater Bob, 31, of Toronto, Canada, hope their special chemistry shines through as they entertain thousands of Disney fans every night at arenas around the world.

Bob said: "It's such a dream to skate together every single day and share those moments on the ice.

"It often feels, even though we have an audience of thousands, that it's just the two of us doing what we love and being able to present that.

"We're taking it day by day. Love what we do. Love being together."

Antonia added: "We see our future together.

"We've been dating for several years now. It's really special to get to skate together on the ice and have this type of role together."

Explaining how they landed the starring roles she said: "We were ensemble skaters with Disney on Ice for a few years and continued working together and progressing as a team.

"The roles then became available, and we were the right fit . So yeah, here we are."

Bob says they never have falls outs that spill onto the ice.

He said: "I don't think we have any fall outs that really affect our performance. I mean, we love each other. We love what we do. We're passionate about it. You always want to go out there and be your best."

How did they meet?

Bob laughed: "Yeah, she definitely ran out of a party and I had to track her down one day."

And Antonia says just like Cinderella it's not all about going to the ball - she helps out with behind the scenes chores, like the rest of the crew.

She said: "Yeah, I'm not backstage, not for the ice show. But we definitely put our hard work in. We all contribute in different ways."

This year’s ice spectacular also features popular characters such as Coco’s Miguel Rivera, who disguises himself to enter the Day of the Dead festival, Frozen’s own Let It Go snow queen Elsa and ocean adventurer Moana, along with Jasmine, Ariel, Aurora and Belle.

The show also features Mickey, Minnie, Genie, and many more.
