The Hepworth Wakefield to celebrate 15th birthday with free events this weekend
The Hepworth Wakefield will celebrate its 15th birthday with a weekend of festivities.
The beloved gallery will host a 15th birthday party on Friday, May 22, from 6pm to 10pm.

The event will feature new exhibition openings, a street food menu, ‘birthday beer’ from Lost Cause Brewing Co., and live sets from Vinyl Social DJs.
It will also see the launch of the brand new Hepworth Makefield Market at Tileyard North.
The market will showcase over 65 independent makers from across Yorkshire.
The market will take place on Friday, from 7pm to 10pm, and will run across the weekend, from 10am to 5pm.
The Hepworth Wakefield officially opened in 2011 to international acclaim.
The Wakefield attraction houses the largest collection of Barbara Hepworth’s work and was named the Art Fund museum of the year in 2017.
Most recently, the gallery announced it has two new co-directors, Olivia Colling and Laura Smith.
On the birthday celebrations, co-director Laura Smith said: “This is a huge milestone for The Hepworth Wakefield and we want the community to come and celebrate.”
