'We’d love to keep the series running for many years to come': Live at Tileyard North organisers share plans for future Wakefield concerts
The organisers behind Live at Tileyard North have shared their thoughts on the future of the successful concert series.
The Wakefield hotspot was transformed into a high-capacity open-air venue last weekend - with thousands of people from across the country visiting the city to see their favourite artists.
The brand new concert series, organised by Leeds-based promoter Futuresound, featured headline performances from Sophie Ellis-Bextor, The Fratellis, Ocean Colour Scene and The Vaccines.
Set across four nights, each concert was a huge success with fans praising the venue, the performers and Wakefield itself.

Now, the promoters have shared their thoughts on the concert series’ future following its successful debut.
Toby Womack, from Futuresound, said: “We are so pleased with how well received Live at Tileyard North has been and cannot thank the people of Wakefield enough for embracing the series so much in its first year.
"As an independent promoter down the road in Leeds, it feels brilliant to be working with our neighbours in Wakefield and finally staging the concert series the city has long deserved. “We’d love to keep the series running for many years to come, so watch this space!”
