Dale Tate, pictured with three of his sons, hopes to relocate his family to his wife's native Australia.

Almost three quarters of the tickets have now sold.

And to top off the contest, the family have now commissioned a virtual tour of their home, giving all prospective 'buyers' a chance to take a look around the property,

Dale said: "We did it on a bit of whim," he said. "But it's gone viral quite quickly. It would be amazing if we could get a lot of Wakefield residents involved to stick their names in the hat.

"It would be lovely for a local person to win it.

"My wife's Australian, I met her over there and we moved back here. We've got four young boys.

"But with everything that's gone on with Covid, we thought there's a better qualify of life over there.

"We don't really want to rent the house out from the other side of the world."

The new build house, in Ossett, features four bedrooms, a spacious kitchen/diner, garden and double driveway.

The lucky winner will also be gifted the Tates' 2017 Volvo XC90 Hybrid, with a year of insurance paid up front.
