Pontefract solicitors joins up with The Prince of Wales Hospice to offer free expert wills
The initiative, Make a Will Week, will begin from Monday, January 18 until Friday, 22 January, with appointments available to have your will expertly written for free.
Wills and Probate Solicitor, Melita Roberts, said: “Making a will ensures that your loved ones are looked after in the event of your death.
“You can control the destination of your assets, appoint guardians for your children, avoid disputes and save inheritance tax and nursing home fees by making a will.
“At Ison Harrison our Wills and Probate team have built a reputation for providing a prompt, professional and personal service to our clients.”
One in four patients at The Prince of Wales Hospice are cared for thanks to gifts given in wills.
Whilst the charity knows that family and friends must come first, they are asking people to consider leaving them a gift in their will to support their vision for the future.
One percent of an estate can help them to achieve this and make a big difference to their income.
Branch Manager Daniel Kenworthy said: “We are delighted to be supporting The Prince of Wales Hospice’s Make a Will Week and look forward to helping people to make a will in order to ensure that their loved ones are looked after in the event of their death.
“We have been working with The Prince of Wales Hospice for a number of years now and are a Club 5 Member.
“We are always blown away by the amazing service that they offer to the people of Pontefract and the surrounding area.
“That is why we have selected the Hospice as one of five charities that we have agreed as a business to support in 2021 and we will be working with their amazing team to agree how we can best support them in their fundraising efforts.”
