Families can join local children's author Gail C. Powell for a fun, interactive Halloween storytelling and creative writing workshop at Pontefract Castle this Halloween.

Gail, who launched her second book Eliza Binks and the Witch’s Curse at the Pontefract landmark earlier this year, will return for a special spooky storytelling masterclass on Saturday (October 31).

The free event will take place within Pontefract Castle from 10.15am to 11.15am and no booking is required.

Discover the inspiration behind her best-selling books, hear spooky extracts read by Gail herself and explore the local legends and historical events that make such wonderful ingredients for a story.
