Holland & Barrett to close Pontefract store tomorrow due to 'changing shopping patterns'
Holland & Barrett will close its Pontefract shop tomorrow.
Signs were recently put up outside the Pontefract branch, on Salter Row stating that the store would close.
Now the health and wellbeing retailer have confirmed that the popular branch will close tomorrow (September 9).
A spokesperson for Holland & Barrett said: “The Holland & Barrett store in Pontefract is due to close on Wednesday, September 9.
"This is part of an ongoing £70 million investment into transforming our stores, which includes new store openings, refurbishments, relocations, lease expiries and closures, with decisions focused on ensuring we are operating from the right locations to best serve customers both in-store and online.
“Over the past three years, we have significantly expanded and upgraded our UK and Ireland footprint through new locations and refitted stores, while continuing to adapt to changing shopping patterns and evolving high streets.
“These changes form part of Holland & Barrett’s wider transformation to support long-term, sustainable growth and we remain committed to maintaining a strong presence across the UK and Ireland.”
The store has encouraged customers to visit hollandandbarrett.com, or their nearby store in Freeport Outlet Village instead.
