Could Tuesday be the hottest day of the year?
Temperatures were steady at around 23C on Monday afternoon in Settle, Ilkley and Bradford, while people in coastal areas such as Whitby, although cooler, still enjoyed 18C.

Hide AdForecasters are now warning these temperatures will rise on Tuesday, and we can expect the rest of the week to follow suit.
Those in Wakefield should expect the highest temperature tomorrow, with 25C predicted, with Harrogate, Pontefract and Halifax not fare behind on 24C.
