Thousands of sunflowers are set to bloom once again as Pontefract’s Farmer Copleys prepares to reopen one of its most popular summer attractions.

The family-run attraction at Ravensknowle Farm will welcome visitors to its seven-acre sunflower field from Saturday, August 1, with opening dependent on the flowers reaching their peak.

This year's event will feature thousands of sunflowers across 10 different varieties.

Visitors will also be able to pick their own sunflowers to take home during their visit.

New for 2026 are picnic patches within the sunflower field, where visitors can borrow a picnic blanket and enjoy food from the Farmer Copleys Farm Shop surrounded by the blooms.

A pollinator path has also been created, giving visitors the chance to learn more about the insects that help the flowers thrive.

Tickets are now available and organisers have introduced anytime entry.

Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome and children aged three and under can visit free.
