As Our Year – Wakefield District 2024 continues its programme of 366 things to do in the Wakefield district, there’s lots going on throughout August.
Our Year is a year-long programme of spectacles, unique festivals, major events and community-led activities that will celebrate all that the Wakefield district has to offer from art, heritage, sport and music to food and drink.
And in April, there’s something for everyone, whether it’s meeting some dinosaurs at Trinity Walk, see the amazing Hatchling, or tasting some delicious food.
When: 25 July – 31 August Come face-to-face with a giant moving Walkersaurus-rex dinosaur and the two baby dinos this summer holidays for free! Look out for Trinity Animal Control Team officers and the dinosaur creations every Thursday, Friday and Saturday throughout the summer school holidays. There will also be the chance to hunt for fossilised dinosaur bones in the Discovery Dig. Photo: s
