Pub fundraiser in honour of two regulars

A pub is holding a fundraiser in honour of two regulars.

The Crown, in Alverthorpe, will host a charity fun day to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Care in honour of Patricia Backhouse and Ruth Dunford who are both fighting the disease.

There will be a five-mile charity walk,a boiled egg eating competition, barbecue, live music, raffle and auction plus a performance by Wrenthorpe Silver Stars.

It takes place on Saturday, March 7 from 10am.
