Five star Brad Green seals Wakefield Thornes win
Wakefield Thornes made it three wins from three in the Yorkshire Southern Premier League as they beat Appleby Frodingham by 30 runs.
After electing to bat first Thornes found it tough going, but an unbeaten 58 from Matthew Jordan steered them to the respectability of 172-8 from their 50 overs.
Opener James Wolfenden also contributed 23.
Appleby batsmen struggled too as they came up against some good bowling, initially from Imran Mahboob (3-23) who removed three of the top order.
First change Brad Green then claimed 5-41 as Appleby were all out for 142.
