Wakefield Trinity have been given a home start in the 2023 Betfred Super League season.

Fixtures revealed today confirm that Mark Applegarth’s men will open their campaign against Catalans Dragons, who may have ex-Trinity favourite Tom Johnstone in their team.

Wakefield will then follow up a tough-looking away game against Wigan Warriors on Friday, February 24 then they will return home to face Huddersfield Giants on Friday, March 3.

Easter will only feature one match next year, but brings the first local derby with Castleford Tigers with the game taking place at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle on Thursday, April 6.

The return match at the Belle Vue ground will be on Sunday, August 20.

Magic Weekend returns to St James' Park again with Trinity up against the the newly renamed Leigh Leopards on Sunday, June 4.

The regular season will see each team will play 27 fixtures – 13 home and 13 away, plus Magic Weekend at St James’ Park, and Old Trafford will again play host to the Super League Grand Final on Saturday, October 14.

The end of season play-off series sees the top six ranked teams battle it out to reach Old Trafford. The top two teams at the end of the regular season will be just 80 minutes from the Grand Final and receive a bye in week one before facing the winners from third versus sixth and fourth versus fifth.
