Female teenager suffers head injury during Castleford assault
An area of Castleford town centre was cordoned off last night following an assault on a teenage woman.
Officers were called to Albion Street in Castleford shortly before 8pm last night to reports of a fight.
An 18-year-old woman was taken to hospital with a head injury not thought to be life threatening.
An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of a section 18 assault.
A section of Carlton Street was taped off by police after it was thought the man was arrested at the spot.
