Aspire at Pontefract Park back open after weekend closure
The Aspire leisure centre and swimming pool at Pontefract Park has re-opened this morning after the latest closure over the weekend.
Wakefield Council closed the leisure centre on Saturday and Sunday October 24 and 25.
The council said it was closed as a safety precaution because of roof works and the poor weather forecast.
The centre has fully re-opened this morning (Mon Oct 26).
Aspire at Pontefract Park was closed on Thursday October 8 after a water leak affected electrics and was not fully re-opened until Monday October 12.
