Normanton garage spaces removed due to unstable walls

Twenty-eight garages have been demolished in Normanton due to unstable rear walls.

A planning application has been submitted for a site on Crossman Drive by Vico Homes, seeking permission for the three former brick-built garage blocks to be replaced with 1.8m-high galvanised palisade fencing.

The application states that the garages were used by people to park cars, with 28 existing spaces listed as being removed.

It says the demolition work started on June 22 and was completed on August 3.
