Hide AdDave Ward, club treasurer, said: “This break-in could have an absolutely devastating effect on the club.
“The efforts that have been put in by so many people over the years is phenomenal. We’ve had people who have given 40 years of their lives to the rugby clubs. It’s just awful.”
Mr Ward said it will cost around £10,000 to repair the damage.
He said: “They have smashed up the office for no reason. It’s just mindless.
“We are insured but it won’t cover anywhere near the £10,000 and we’ll have to find the rest from somewhere.”
