Syed Shah Bukhari did the major damage with 4-6 while Atta Ul Mustafa and Waheed Ahmed took two wickets each.

Ubaid Zia then appeared to have made the chase straight forward when he struck 88 from 65 balls, hitting 13 fours and four sixes, but his dismissal at 121-5 triggered a dramatic collapse as they slipped to 142-9, still 10 short of victory.

However, Bukhari and Craig Ellison edged them home to end the campaign on a winning note.

East Ardsley secured fifth place by beating East Leeds by five wickets after dismissing their hosts for 135.

Richard Butcher took 3-49 and Michael Davies 3-30 before Ardsley made rapid progress towards their target as Abdul Rehman hit 38.

Wrenthorpe were then in deep trouble at 23-4 before Karam Padam made 55, Kush Chaturvedi 39 and Harvey Anderson 30. Their recovery could only take them to 195, however.

Despite ending the campaign superbly Sandal have finished in third place in Division One.

They beat Bankfoot by 124 runs in their last game, but have ended nine points behind runners-up Yeadon.
