Promoted Emley open new Premier Division campaign with away trip

Excitement and anticipation is mounting among the Pewits fans after successive strong seasons have seen the team climb the ranks to face their biggest challenge in the year ahead among the NPL’s big boys.

The big kick-off is Saturday, August 8 with Emley travelling to Hyde United for their opening league fixture.

They do not have long to wait for a first home game in the Premier as Ilkeston Town come to the Fantastic Media Welfare Ground on August 11 and a quick second match on home soil follows four days later with Curzon Ashton the opponents.

Further games in a busy August see Emley travelling to Leek Town (18th), fellow promoted side Redcar Athletic (25th) and Warrington Town (29th) plus hosting Ashton United (22nd) and Guiseley (31st).

The Pewits’ festive fixtures will be at home to Cleethorpes Town on Boxing Day and away to Guiseley the following Saturday.

They will end their regular season campaign at the seaside with a trip to Whitby Town on April 17.
