Glenn Morrison appointed coach at Dewsbury Rams

DEWSBURY Rams have appointed Australian Glenn Morrison as their new coach on a two year deal.

The 36-year-old has been assistant coach at Wakefield Trinity Wildcats and was also head coach to the Under-20s at Rapid Solicitors Stadium . He brings with him a wealth of experience following a 17-year playing career in Super League and the Australian NRL.

Morrison admitted he was delighted and honoured to be taking over at the Rams.

Dewsbury supporters packed into the Royal Suite at Tetley’s Stadium on Wednesday evening to meet the new coach and Morrison told fans he was determined to bring success to the club.

Morrison said: “I’m very honoured take have on the role of coach at this great club and I am looking forward to taking the club forward.

“I love the Wakefield club and enjoyed my time there and it would be great if we could form a bond with them.

“I have spoken to Richard Agar and he has nothing but good things to say about the (Dewsbury) club.”
