Former Sandal players to clash as Sharks battle in Allianz Premier 15s

It's a clash between the two sides at the foot of the Allianz Premier 15s table, with hosts Durham aiming to get off the mark and reduce the arrears on Sale, who are five points ahead in the standings going into the rearranged Round 6 fixture.

Lining-up for the home side is Alana Bainbridge, the former Yorkshire U18s captain and Sandal hooker who has played in all nine of Durham's league games so far this term.

She will go up against a familiar face in Jodie Ounsley, the Sale and England Sevens winger who starts from the bench and is set to make her first appearance for Darren Lamon’s side since joining the club.

Ounsley, who was named Deaf Sports Personality of the year 2020, is desperate to make her mark for Sale, posting on Twitter: "It’s been a while but super excited to get on the pitch with this lot for the first time."
