And it will be the fans who vote for which rider wears the kit via Twitter.
The digital jersey will be presented to the rider who was the most aggressive, made the greatest effort and demonstrated good sportsmanship.
It will be awarded to a rider after each of the three stages of the race.
No other cycling event has had an official jersey which was voted for by the fans.
Welcome to Yorkshire chief executive Gary Verity said: “We’re breaking new ground getting people involved in voting for the most aggressive rider.
“Combined with the other new, very impressive podium jerseys, we’re very excited to see who will be the first riders to wear them.”
Spectators can vote for the cyclist by following @letouryorkshire on Twitter.
They can place their vote by selecting a rider from a list.
Christian Prudhomme of Amaury Sport Organisation said: “The Tour de Yorkshire is the perfect race to launch a digital jersey.
“We know that the people of Yorkshire and the UK will vote in large numbers for the most aggressive rider - especially for the British cyclists who are riding on home soil - who will push hard, be active in breakaways, and be recognised by the public.”
The Tour de Yorkshire takes place from Friday, May 1 to Sunday, May 3.
