Wakefield families can earn rewards while enjoying free bus travel this summer
Wakefield families are being encouraged to swap the car for the bus this August – and get rewarded for it.
BetterPoints West Yorkshire has launched its All Aboard! campaign, helping families explore the district for less during the school holidays.
The campaign comes as children aged five to 15 can travel free on participating buses throughout August under the Government's Great British Summer Savings scheme.
Families visiting attractions including The Hepworth Wakefield and Yorkshire Sculpture Park can earn bonus rewards through the free app.

The app rewards people for choosing greener journeys, whether by bus, train, walking, wheeling or cycling.
Across August, 25 attractions in West Yorkshire are offering bonus BetterPoints.
Other featured destinations include Saltaire, Kirkstall Abbey, The Piece Hall and the National Science and Media Museum.
Each week has a different theme, from Wild West Yorkshire to Art & Nature, with extra points, weekly prize draws and a grand prize up for grabs.
Jack Windle, Chief Sustainable Transport Officer at BetterPoints, said: "BetterPoints West Yorkshire is already rewarding thousands of people across the region for making small changes to how they travel. As a family, exploring West Yorkshire costs less than you think, especially with free bus travel for children. This campaign celebrates some of the region's best spots, and rewards people for visiting them."
The BetterPoints West Yorkshire app is free to download. It is open to anyone who lives, works or studies in Wakefield, Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees or Leeds.
