Ackworth PramFest raises over £16,000 for local hospice care
Ackworth PramFest has raised an incredible £16,170 for The Prince of Wales Hospice, with hundreds of people coming together for another day of racing, fundraising and community spirit.
Around 100 people signed up for this year’s event, with 96 participants taking part in the much-loved pram race on August 30.

Supporters lined the streets to cheer them on before celebrations continued at Ackworth Cricket Club, where stalls, refreshments and entertainment created a fantastic atmosphere throughout the day.
The themed prams raced through the village to show their support and raise vital funds for The Prince of Wales Hospice.
Katie Storey, community and partnerships fundraiser at The Prince of Wales Hospice, said: “The £16,170 raised through PramFest could fund the care of one patient for just over four weeks, including healthcare, catering and housekeeping services.
"That support means we can continue being there for local patients and families when they need us most.
"Every person who took part, volunteered, donated or cheered from the sidelines played a part in making that care possible, and we’re incredibly grateful for their support”.
