When Wakefield district bin collections will be over the Easter bank holiday
Wakefield Council has confirmed that bin collections across the district will continue as usual over the Easter weekend.
Garden waste collections began again in March and take place every fortnight.
Remember to put them out for collection on the same day as the general waste (green bin) collection.
Grass cuttings, leaves, flowers and weeds can all be placed in the garden recycling bin.

Any extra garden waste can be taken to the nearest Household Waste Recycling Centre.
Household Waste Recycling Centres in the district are also open over the Easter period.
Residents are reminded that if they are having a spring clean or a get together this holiday, any extra rubbish can be taken to any of the three sites.
A wide range of items are accepted, including electricals, wood, garden waste, textiles, and furniture.

Mark Lynam, Wakefield Council’s Corporate Director for Regeneration, Environment and Economic Growth, said: "This year there will be no changes to bin collections over the Easter holidays. Residents should expect to have their bins collected as usual.
“Our crews work incredibly hard throughout the year, and maintaining our service during busy holiday periods reflects their commitment.
"We know how important reliable waste collections are to residents, and we want to reassure everyone that their bins will be emptied as planned.”
