Wakefield BID Awards 2026 nominations open

Wakefield BID say the annual awards celebrate the businesses, organisations and people who go above and beyond to make Wakefield city centre a special place.

Danny Critchley of Wakefield BID, said: “From brilliant independent retailers and much-loved hospitality venues to community organisations, service providers and inspiring individuals, the awards celebrate the very best of our city centre.

“Whether it’s exceptional customer service, a memorable experience or a positive contribution to Wakefield, we want to hear who you think deserves recognition.

“There are 12 award categories, so cast your nominations and help shine a spotlight on the businesses and people making a real difference.”

Nominations ae invited in 12 categories: Best Daytime Hospitality; Best Restaurant Best Bar, Pub or Club; Best Coffee Shop; Best Experiential or Leisure Business; Best Health, Hair and Beauty Business; Best National Retailer; Best Charity or Community Organisation; Best Independent Retailer; Best Business Service Provider; Best High Street Hero; People’s Choice.

Danny said: “You can nominate in as many categories as you wish. Think about the places you return to time and again, the people who always offer a warm welcome and the businesses that help Wakefield city centre thrive.
