Electric scooter seized at Westgate Retail Park
Police staff seized an electric scooter after the rider narrowly missed hitting shoppers at a Wakefield shopping park.
Members of the public approached Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) to complain about a youth riding the electric scooter in an anti-social manner at Westgate Retail Park on Tuesday (Aug 18).
Wakefield West Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) said PCSOs saw the scooter rider narrowly miss members of the public, some with young children.
A Wakefield West NPT spokesperson said: “The officers were quick to act and the scooter was seized."
