Police seized car being driven carelessly in Wakefield
Police seized a car that was being driven carelessly in Abgrigg, Wakefield.
Officers from Wakefield Rural Neighbourhood Policing Team spotted the black VW Golf being driven in a "careless and inconsiderate" manner on Sugar Lane on Sugar Lane just after 6.30pm on October 13.
A police spokesperson said: "The driver accelerated harshly and swerved across the carriageway, causing other road users to brake.
"This behaviour amounted to careless/inconsiderate driving contrary to Section 3 Road Traffic Act 1988 and was likely to cause alarm, distress or annoyance to members of the public.
"Given the manner of driving, officers used powers under Section 59 Police Reform Act 2002, to seize the vehicle."
